Christy and Timothy Hattaway are a dedicated couple whose roots run deep in Georgia. Christy, raised in Telfair and Jeff Davis counties, graduated from Telfair County High School in 2000 and moved to Waycross in 2006. A Certified Nursing Assistant since 2015, Christy's true passion lies in Human Resources, where she has contributed her skills to various organizations, including the City of Waycross and currently Unison Behavioral Health. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, designing door hangers, and renovating their new family home.

Timothy was raised in Camden County and graduated from Camden County High School in 2006. He pursued higher education in Criminal Justice at Penn State University and earned his Master's degree from American Public University. In 2017, he joined the Georgia Department of Corrections, quickly rising to the rank of Lieutenant before transferring to Counseling, where he helps offenders rehabilitate and successfully reintegrate into society.

The couple met in November 2019 and were married just six months later, in May 2020. Active members of The Pentecostals of Waycross, they are proud parents to a blended family that includes Addy (20, married to Nick Paulk), Elijah (17), Derek (15), Makenzie (14), Cody (11), and Ryler (5). Since 2020, Christy and Timothy have been passionate foster parents, guiding over 20 children through challenging and traumatic times in their lives. Together, they are honored to be part of DWTSS 2025, embodying a spirit of service, love, and community.
