Jason Ragsdale

My name is Jason Ragsdale, I was born and raised in Thomaston, Georgia.  I moved to Blackshear, Georgia over 25 years ago. I have 2 daughters, Harlow 13 and Haven 10. I am a member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear,  have served on the Blackshear Police Department for the past 3 years and also volunteer with the fire department.  This year I accepted a position with the Pierce County Middle School as the Student Resource Officer in addition to patrolling nights, weekends and during school closures.  Recently I was recognized at the Blackshear City Council’s monthly meeting for saving a life. In my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing and doing construction projects.   I was inspired to volunteer as a dancer to raise money for the Magnolia House this year because of my many encounters with people who are affected by domestic violence.
