Team 13 - Dr. Greg Tanner
& Kaitlyn Tanner
Kaitlyn Tanner is a junior at Citizens Christian Academy. She is involved in many activities including athletics, pageants, community service, literary, and piano, all while maintaining an A-plus academic average in all classes she has taken.
In athletics, she competes in track and field, basketball, and swim. Kaitlyn has recently returned to athletics after rehabbing from a major reconstructive knee surgery from a tear in her ACL and meniscus while playing basketball.
Kaitlyn was crowned the 2023 Miss Georgia Teen Volunteer after winning the state title last July. At the national pageant in March, she won fitness and was 4th runner up to Miss Teen Volunteer America. A major reason that she competes in pageants is because of a very important part of her life—to spread her platform called Adoption: Building Families. Kaitlyn created this platform because she and her younger brother are adopted, and with her platform she shares her adoption story and raises funds for adoption organizations and people involved with adoption.
Kaitlyn hopes to later obtain her bachelor’s degree in biology with a pre-medicine focus and then attend medical school to become a doctor. She also plans to continue her piano performing and teaching career while still growing her adoption platform. She is honored to participate in DWTS in August, and to raise awareness and financial support for Magnolia House and the Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless
