Dantay Cooper & Renee Martin
My name is Dantay Cooper, and I was born and raised in Waycross. I graduated from Ware County High School in 1997. I am a Retired Army Veteran, with Combat Tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I’m married to Mrs. Lashunda Stone-Cooper and collectively we have 6 children (2 girls and 4 boys). I coach football and basketball at Ware County Middle School, and I’m a referee for basketball in southeast Georgia. I’m also the President and a coach (9th and 4th Grade) for a nonprofit AAU basketball organization called the Waycross SuperSonics. I also coach basketball and started the track program for the Ware County Recreation Department. I own a women’s shapewear line called Kbyken. In my spare time, I mentor numerous youth of Ware County. My hobbies are cooking, fishing, writing poetry, and traveling. My goal is to build a gym/multipurpose facility here in Waycross for the kids, as resources are limited for our youth to be able to practice basketball and/or baseball; as well as offering mentor services for at-risk students.
